Signs?

Does it mean something when you see something over and over?  I had a week where I kept encountering big trucks hauling things like tree cutting equipment.  It wasn't like I was driving by them and went oh that's interesting.  It was like I was being held up by these things.  Was I supposed to pay attention to them?  What would that have meant to me?
Now, I have all of these people from my past reaching out to me on facebook.  I'll be honest.  I don't like facebook and I don't really care to keep in touch with people from my high school days.  I jumped on facebook to reconnect with an old friend from my last job.  He casually said that I needed to join facebook so that I could see pictures of his girls.  Then it started.  People saw my name and before I could delete my account, I had all of these "friends" from high school and work.  I don't "friend" anyone, and I don't post either.  It was actually reaching a status quo when all of the sudden on December 23rd, I got a friend request, then five on the 24th and then three more on the 25th.  Really people?  Searching for people from high school over Christmas?  I accepted all of their requests.  They're nice people and all. I wish them all well.  Is it bad that I really don't care what they or their kids are doing?
So what does it mean?  Am I supposed to pay attention when I have these repeating things happen that "make" me notice?
