Mathmatical Patterns that Inspire and Point Us Toward The Singularity

I find that in spirituality, we are often told to watch for trends to help guide us. So, that's why I've written about seeing butterflies

So for this post it is ironic that my pattern is about patterns.

I had Coast to Coast radio show with George Knapp interviewing Ray Kurzweil that I had just finished listening to this morning. It was from February 24, 2013.  I had bookmarked it awhile ago and forgotten about it obviously. Kurzweil kept pointing out that he was a follower of patterns. His goal is to look for ways to make humans better by finding ways to merge technology and biology to make it better.

I just finished watching today's subscriptions that came up and there was a Ted Talk by Arthur Benjamin and he talked about mathematics...primarily Fibonacci numbers. You can see the talk below. He emphasized how mathematics and logic patterns such as Fibonacci numbers are found in nature and can and should be used to inspire.

So how intriguing when comparing the two speakers, that they both look for patterns and see patterns as primary functions of their work. It seems that their works is so similar and yet so opposite of each other.

Just thought I'd share.
