Fall Harvest and Vegan Goodness in Orlando Metro

The Weekly Yelp: Orlando

Yelp Kicks It Root Down

This Weekly Yelp brought to you by Central Florida Veg FestOctober 23, 2013
Can't beet that beauty...
You got to get on down, to get on up! So this week, Yelp urges you to get back to your roots — root vegetables, that is! You don't have to search deep underground to find them, folks. Be it bountiful beets or tasty turnips, we totally dig 'em, and now we're sharing with you.

Hubbly Bubbly Falafel Shop(College Park)
"Oh, be still my Lebanese heart! For vegetarians like me who love flavor, this is an awesome option." Carla L can eat the pickled turnips "forever. I adore them!"

Rusty Spoon (Downtown)
To begin her locally sourced feast, Barry C "went with the carpaccio with horseradish cream, greens mixture, roasted beets, and nicely toasted baguette. This one is delicious," especially "if you love beets!"

Café 118 Degrees (Winter Park)
Sydney K sets the scene: "Organic, vegetarian, raw food in a modern setting that feels like it belongs somewhere in San Francisco. The food was delicious and the smoothies and juices are spot on. The beet and apple juice was killer."

Blu On the Avenue (Park Ave)
For a "very good for dinner and people watching," Roberta Sdigs this spot. "I had the beet salad and it didn't disappoint. Fresh and full of flavor." Get ready for sliced roasted beets, microgreens, and a gorgonzola dolce topped with fresh cracked sea salt.

Ravenous Pig (Winter Park)
Reppin' a vegetarian-filled lifestyle, Anna-Marie W goes with the Gatherer salad: "lettuce, pickled beets, sliced radishes, avocado, goat cheese, and crushed pistachios with an herb vinaigrette. I was really craving a salad so this was perfect for me."
